The Notification widget<\/strong> is a small badge that can appear in the bottom-right corner of any Upwork page. It shows status-based alerts to help you fix issues that would otherwise block Upwex from working properly.<\/p>\n

When does it appear?<\/h2>\n

Upwex checks your account state on every Upwork page load. If something needs your attention, the widget shows up with a message and a call-to-action button. If everything’s fine, it stays hidden.<\/p>\n

Notification states (in priority order)<\/h2>\n

1. Sign in required<\/h3>\n

Message:<\/strong> “Sign in to Upwex to access AI-powered proposals, job analysis, and automatic bidding.”
\nAction:<\/strong> Sign In<\/strong> button \u2013 opens account.upwex.io\/login<\/code> in a new tab.
\nWhen:<\/strong> Extension is installed but you’re not logged in (tokens expired or cleared).<\/p>\n

2. Profile not synced<\/h3>\n

Message:<\/strong> “Connect your Upwork profile to get started.”
\nAction:<\/strong> Connect Profile<\/strong> button \u2013 triggers the popup’s profile sync flow.
\nWhen:<\/strong> You’re logged in but haven’t synced your Upwork profile yet.<\/p>\n

3. Trial ended<\/h3>\n

Message:<\/strong> “Your free trial has ended. Subscribe to keep using AI proposals, job matching, and auto-bidding.”

\nWhen:<\/strong> Your 7-day free trial expired without upgrading.<\/p>\n

\nWhen:<\/strong> You actively canceled your plan and want to come back.<\/p>\n

5. AI Credits depleted<\/h3>\n

Message:<\/strong> “You’ve used all your AI credits. Upgrade your plan or add extra credits in your profile.”
\nAction:<\/strong> Primary Buy Credits<\/strong> button \u2013 opens account.upwex.io\/credits<\/code> (top-up page). Secondary Upgrade Plan<\/strong> button \u2013 opens account.upwex.io\/billing<\/code> for a higher monthly allowance.
\nWhen:<\/strong> Your monthly credit allowance is exhausted.<\/p>\n

Auto-hide behavior<\/h2>\n

The widget is reactive: if you fix the issue (e.g., sync profile, top up credits) it disappears automatically without needing a page reload. Likewise, if the state changes mid-session (e.g., your subscription cancels), the widget appears immediately.<\/p>\n

Can I dismiss it?<\/h2>\n
