Every team has exactly one Owner \u2013 the person who created the Upwex account. The Owner cannot be demoted, removed, or changed via the UI; the Action column shows a <strong>lock icon<\/strong> instead of the kebab menu. To transfer ownership, contact support.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2705 All billing actions (upgrade, downgrade, cancel)<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 Invite \/ remove members<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 Change any other member&#8217;s role (Admin \u2194 Member)<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 Buy and assign seats \/ AI credits<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 Configure settings, prompts, Auto Bid rules, CRM<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 See all analytics across all profiles<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 Use AI features<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Admin<\/h2>\n<p>Admins have almost all Owner permissions except for account ownership itself.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2705 Invite new members and resend invites<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 Remove Admins or Members (cannot remove the Owner)<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 Toggle other people between Admin and Member via the \u22ee menu<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 Top up AI credits and manage seats<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 Configure prompts, Auto Bid rules, CRM<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 See all analytics<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 Use AI features<\/li>\n<li>\u274c Cannot change their own role<\/li>\n<li>\u274c Cannot transfer ownership or delete the team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Member<\/h2>\n<p>Members are regular users who use Upwex on their own Upwork profile but don&#8217;t manage the team.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u274c Cannot invite or remove team members<\/li>\n<li>\u274c Cannot change roles<\/li>\n<li>\u274c Cannot manage seats or buy credits<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 Use AI features (drawing from the team&#8217;s shared AI credits)<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 Edit team-shared cover letter prompts<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 See analytics for their own profile<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Changing a role<\/h2>\n<p>On the Team page, click the <strong>\u22ee<\/strong> menu in the Action column on the right side of the row. The menu offers <strong>Make Admin<\/strong> or <strong>Make Member<\/strong> \u2013 a single toggle between the two.
