Until at least one toggle is on, syncing has no visible effect.<\/p>\n<h2>Where to find it<\/h2>\n<p>Two ways to open the page:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/account.upwex.io\/pipedrive-settings\">account.upwex.io\/pipedrive-settings<\/a> directly<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tools &amp; Apps<\/strong> \u2192 click <strong>Configure<\/strong> on the Pipedrive card<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The header has a <em>Back to Tools &amp; Apps<\/em> link. The page itself has three sections \u2013 <strong>Sync Settings<\/strong>, <strong>Deal Configuration<\/strong>, <strong>Notes &amp; Activity<\/strong> \u2013 and a <strong>Save<\/strong> button at the bottom that stays disabled until you change something.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/help\/ss-int-04-pipedrive-settings.png\" alt=\"Pipedrive sync settings page in Upwex with three sections \u2013 Sync Settings (Create the Contact's Company in the CRM automatically toggle on, Create lead toggle off), Deal Configuration (Create deal toggle on, Deal Name Template field 'Upwex #firstname #lastname' with clickable variable tags #contact \/ #firstname \/ #lastname \/ #company), and Notes &#038; Activity (three toggles for Job, Bid, and All messages, all on); 'Back to Tools &#038; Apps' link at the top and a Save button at the bottom\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Sync Settings<\/h2>\n<h3>Create the Contact&#8217;s Company in the CRM automatically<\/h3>\n<p>When you sync an Upwork chat, Upwex always creates the client as a <strong>Contact<\/strong> (Person) in Pipedrive. With this toggle on, it also creates an associated <strong>Organization<\/strong> (Company) \u2013 using the client&#8217;s company name from Upwork if available, otherwise the contact&#8217;s name. Leave it on for proper Pipedrive structure; turn it off if you only want flat contacts and no companies.<\/p>\n<h3>Create lead<\/h3>\n<p>With this toggle on, syncing an Upwork chat also creates a <strong>Lead<\/strong> in Pipedrive (in addition to the Contact and the optional Deal). Use it if your Pipedrive workflow starts at the Leads inbox and only converts qualified leads into deals.<\/p>\n<h2>Deal Configuration<\/h2>\n<h3>Create deal<\/h3>\n<p>Master switch for deal creation. With this toggle on, every new contract from a synced Upwork chat becomes a <strong>Deal<\/strong> in Pipedrive. Each new contract from the same client produces a separate deal \u2013 Upwex does not merge them.<\/p>\n<h3>Deal Name Template<\/h3>\n<p>Visible only when <em>Create deal<\/em> is on. The template is required and controls how each new deal is named. Default value: <code>Upwex #firstname #lastname<\/code>. Below the field, four green clickable tags insert placeholders into the template:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>#contact<\/code> \u2013 full contact name from Upwork<\/li>\n<li><code>#firstname<\/code> \u2013 first name only<\/li>\n<li><code>#lastname<\/code> \u2013 last name only<\/li>\n<li><code>#company<\/code> \u2013 client&#8217;s company (or contact name as fallback)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can mix free text with placeholders. Examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>Upwork \u00b7 #contact<\/code> \u2192 <em>Upwork \u00b7 Sarah Johnson<\/em><\/li>\n<li><code>#company \u2013 #firstname<\/code> \u2192 <em>Acme Inc \u2013 Sarah<\/em><\/li>\n<li><code>[Upwork] #contact (#company)<\/code> \u2192 <em>[Upwork] Sarah Johnson (Acme Inc)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Notes &amp; Activity<\/h2>\n<p>Three independent toggles that attach Pipedrive <strong>Notes<\/strong> to the synced Contact \/ Deal:<\/p>\n<h3>Create notes about Job in Contact or Deal<\/h3>\n<p>Adds a <em>Job Details<\/em> note containing: Job ID, Job Date, Country, City, Job Title, Job Description. Useful for keeping the Upwork job copy alongside the deal.<\/p>\n<h3>Create notes about Bid in Contact or Deal<\/h3>\n<p>Adds a <em>Bid Details<\/em> note containing: Job ID, Bid Date, Proposed rate, and the full Cover letter. Useful for tracking what was sent to the client.<\/p>\n<h3>Create notes about All messages in Contact or Deal<\/h3>\n<p>Creates a single note with the full chat history (every message between you and the client). Updates whenever the chat is re-synced.<\/p>\n<h2>Save<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Save<\/strong> button stays disabled until you actually change a value. After saving, you&#8217;ll see a confirmation toast <em>&#8220;Settings have been successfully saved.&#8221;<\/em> and the button returns to disabled until the next change.<\/p>\n<p>Settings apply to <strong>future<\/strong> syncs only. Records previously created in Pipedrive are not retroactively updated when you change toggles or the deal-name template.<\/p>\n<h2>Common configurations<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lead-first workflow<\/strong> \u2013 turn on <em>Create lead<\/em>, leave <em>Create deal<\/em> off. Upwex creates Lead + Contact (+ optional Company) for every synced chat. Convert to deal manually in Pipedrive.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deal-first workflow<\/strong> \u2013 turn off <em>Create lead<\/em>, turn on <em>Create deal<\/em>, customise the deal-name template. Upwex creates Deal + Contact (+ optional Company) for every synced chat. The fastest setup for agencies that bid only on serious jobs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Full archival<\/strong> \u2013 additionally turn on all three Notes toggles. Each Pipedrive deal will hold the Upwork job copy, the proposal you sent, and the full chat transcript.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Plan note<\/h2>\n<p>This page is available on <strong>Pro<\/strong> and higher plans. Lite users see a &#8220;This functionality is not available for Lite plan&#8221; message instead.
