Upwex offers three subscription plans – Lite, Pro, and Max – designed to scale from a single freelancer experimenting with AI-assisted bidding all the way up to a full agency running automated 24/7 outreach. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial with full access to the highest tier, no credit card required to start. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the Billing page.

The Pricing page

To compare plans and see current prices head to account.upwex.io/plans. The page shows all three tiers side-by-side with a Monthly / Yearly toggle at the top – switching to Yearly saves you the equivalent of two months per seat. The plan you’re currently on is marked with a green Current Plan badge in the top-right of its card; if a tier change has been queued for the next billing cycle, the card on the future tier shows a blue Scheduled badge instead.

Lite

The full AI-bidding base. For solo freelancers who want fast cover letters, instant Q&A, the job-fit analyzer, and the complete analytics dashboard – without paying for full automation.

  • 100 AI Credits per seat, every month – refilled automatically on each billing cycle. Credits power every AI generation across the platform: cover letters, Q&A answers, job analysis, prompt templates.
  • Check Fit Job Analyzer (0–100 score) – every job you open gets an instant fit analysis with a numeric match score, red flags, and budget verdict, so you stop wasting connects on bad-fit listings.
  • AI Cover Letter + Screening Q&A – generates personalised, on-brand cover letters using your Upwork profile, portfolio, and the job description in seconds, and drafts thoughtful answers to screening questions instantly.
  • Cover Letter Templates with per-template reply rate – save unlimited cover-letter prompt templates, edit them visually, and see the actual reply rate of every template so you can iterate on what works.
  • Full analytics dashboard + Activity Heatmap – the complete dashboard with no time cap: Activity Summary, Performance by Profile, Proposals & Replies, Trends & Insights, full-year Activity Heatmap.
  • Multi-profile + Weekly recap emails – connect both personal and agency Upwork profiles to a single Upwex account and switch between them in one click; weekly recap emails summarise your team’s bidding performance.
  • Adaptive AI engine (auto-failover) – Upwex routes generation across multiple providers and automatically fails over to a backup model if one is down, so you never get stuck mid-proposal.

Pro

The fast-apply tier. Lite, plus the one-click and autofill flows that cut bidding time per job by 5×. The sweet spot for active freelancers who don’t need 24/7 auto-bidding yet.

  • Everything in the Lite plan, plus:
  • 250 AI Credits per seat, every month – 2.5× the Lite pool, enough headroom for daily bidding without rationing.
  • Quick Apply from any Upwork job – open a job, click once, and Upwex auto-fills the cover letter, screening answers, bid amount, and project duration in a single shot, then submits the proposal for you. The fastest workflow on the platform.
  • Proposal Autofill (review then submit) – Upwex auto-fills the proposal form on Upwork the moment you open it, so you can review, tweak, and send instead of typing from scratch.
  • Priority extension features as they ship – Pro seats get the newest extension features (new workflows, templates, analytics panels) before they roll out to lower tiers.

Max

The full automation tier. Pro, plus the 24/7 Auto-Bidding scanner and the matching / red-flag prompts the engine reads to decide what to apply to. For agencies, high-volume bidders, and anyone who wants Upwork to bid for them while they sleep.

  • Everything in the Pro plan, plus:
  • 500 AI Credits per seat, every month – double the Pro pool, built for sustained automated bidding without running out mid-day.
  • Auto-Bidding scanner (24/7, hands-free) – Upwex scans Upwork search around the clock, evaluates each new job against your profile and rules, and automatically submits proposals on your behalf. Wake up to replies and offers in your inbox.
  • Custom Match Algorithm prompt – write your own matching prompt – the exact criteria the engine uses to decide whether a job is a good fit before spending a connect.
  • Custom Red Flags prompt – define the patterns that disqualify a job (low budget, vague brief, suspicious client signals) so the scanner skips them automatically.
  • 15+ Auto-Bidding settings (caps, schedule, scan) – daily bid caps, allowed time windows, search query, per-profile bidding strategy, scan frequency, minimum match score, and more. Fine-grained control over how the engine behaves.

Monthly vs Yearly billing

The toggle at the top of the Pricing page switches between two billing cycles:

  • Monthly – billed every 30 days at the rate shown on the card. All three tiers (Lite, Pro, Max) are available. Easiest to start with; cancel any time.
  • Yearly (Save 2 months) – billed once per year for the equivalent of 10 months, so you save roughly two months per seat compared with paying monthly. Only Pro and Max are offered on Yearly; the exact annual rates are shown on the Pricing page when you flip the toggle.
  • Lite is monthly-only. If you switch to Yearly, the Lite card is hidden – to save with annual billing you need to be on Pro or Max.

How AI Credits work across plans

Every paid action in Upwex (a generated cover letter, a Q&A answer, a job analysis, a Quick Apply submission, an Auto Bid submission) costs 1 AI Credit. Credits refill on each billing cycle and are per seat, not pooled – every team member gets their own monthly allowance.

If you run out before your renewal, you can top up via the Credits page. See the Understanding AI Credits article for a full breakdown of which actions cost credits and how to monitor your team’s spend.

Plan badges on the Pricing page

  • Current Plan (green outline) – sits on whichever card matches your active subscription. The Manage Team button on that card takes you straight to seat allocation; a Cancel Plan link sits below it.
  • Scheduled (blue) – sits on a card when you’ve queued a downgrade or upgrade for the next billing cycle but are still on your current tier until then. The card’s button reads Scheduled and is disabled until the cycle rolls over.
  • Downgrade / Upgrade buttons – every other card shows the right action based on your current tier. Switching plans is prorated automatically – see the Upgrade, downgrade or switch plans article for what to expect.
